Write an introduction to an informative and factual blog post titled "Venturing Out: A Guide for Women Traveling Alone". Imagine traveling the world on your own, without a group of people you're scared will judge you. It's a dream for countless women out there, yet most don't realize that travel is more than just booking the most expensive flight and filling your suitcase with clothes. You need to prepare yourself mentally and physically for adventure before you even leave; but what if you've never been? What if all this sounds exciting, but daunting? How can we make it less scary? We are here to offer some tips on how to embark on your first solo adventure or travel abroad without fear. Why did you decide to write about solo traveling? The reason why I decided to write about solo travel has to do with the fact that I've always felt like a minority in society. As a gender, I never understood why, but no matter how hard I tried, there were always people around me who looked at me differently. It wasn't until after many years of living in the United States that I realized there are millions of other women who feel the same way. They are not alone. Why do you enjoy traveling alone? I love exploring new places and experiencing new cultures that have never been explored by another person before. What I love about solo traveling is the patience it requires because there isn't anyone telling you what to do, when to do it or how to do it. You are free to experience whatever you want, whenever you want, as many times as you would like. When did you start traveling? I started traveling solo at 16 years old after my dad took me out for the first time on a business trip to Europe. We were there for only two weeks and I made so many memories that have stuck with me all of these years. It was after this trip that I knew this travel thing wasn't just something I 'would eventually become good at'. It was an absolutely essential part of my life. Wherever my dad's work took us, I was able to find a way to be there. In your opinion, what are the advantages of traveling alone? The advantage of traveling alone is that you can do whatever you want whenever you want to. You're free. You don't have to wait for someone else or plan something for them; you just want to do it and you go do it. It's an amazing feeling. Why should women travel alone? I like to tell people that I used to not like traveling alone; until, of course, I realized that I was never really traveling alone. I was always with my family or friends; but either way, someone else was in control of what we did and when we did it. To me, the difference between being 'solo' and being 'along' is a very big difference. Solo means you have complete control over your life and what you want to do with every moment. While being along means you have no control over anything. You just have to sit back and let someone else decide what you're going to do from one moment to the next. eccc085e13
